Recipes for readers by a butcher with literary tastes

Cara Nicoletti, a butcher working in New York's The Meat Hook (that's her at work as shown on her Yummy Books website), says that for her there has always been a connection between reading and eating. And the result is a new cookbook with claims to be the year's most literary.
National Public Radio calls it a collection of short, biographical vignettes about her experiences with favorite pieces of literature, and a recipe inspired by each one. From the breakfast sausage in Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House in the Big Woods to chocolate cupcakes with peppermint buttercream from Jonathan Franzen's The Corrections, these books and the tasty treats in them put her on the road to happiness. Cooking through the books that changed her life, Nicoletti shares fifty recipes.
